Refugee Services Resettlement Program Manager


 
 

Position Description: 

The Refugee Services Resettlement Program Manager is responsible for managing the cooperative agreements originating with the USCCB/MRS, i.e., Reception & Placement, Match Grant, in addition to Wilson/Fish project. This position provides supervision for resettlement specialists and case managers in the appropriate distribution of services according to the terms of the agreements.

Essential Duties:

Administrative:

  • Procure and secure rentals for arriving refugees.

  • Provide administrative support and supervisory assistance for resettlement specialists, Match Grant, and Wilson/Fish case managers.

  • Establish regular staff meetings to assure proper communication among all programs and staff for smooth program coordination.

  • Provide ongoing training for resettlement and Wilson/Fish case managers orienting them to program objectives, services and procedures.

  • Assist staff with accurate and complete documentation and filing of all case management services.

  • Conduct staff performance appraisals annually.

  • Develop monthly and quarterly reports and completing all required reports on time.

  • Develop close working relationship with other department program managers.

  • Develop and achieve goals and objectives of the refugee resettlement program on behalf of the agency.

  • Comply with all policies and protocols of the agency and the department.

Financial:

  • Monitor revenue and expenses on a regular basis.

  • Review and authorize all expense and mileage requests from staff.

  • Ensure all program expenditures are properly documented.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Training, education and experience with case management techniques.

  • Ability to conduct self professionally while maintaining sensitivity to the cultural background and individual needs of a diverse staff.

  • Familiarity with populations, providers and employers in San Diego County.

  • Ability to maintain accurate files and documentation.

  • Computer competency in Windows, MS Word and Excel.

  • Commitment to the mission of the agency and program.

  • Ability to represent Catholic Charities in a professional manner.

Employment Status: EXEMPT

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (Some weekends possible), 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (occasional evenings).

Salary: $52,000-$54,000 DOE
