Adoption Services![]()
Catholic Charities is a private adoption agency that has been state-licensed since 1984. Over 380 infants have been placed for adoption since that time.
- Birth Parents:
Prenatal to postpartum counseling, support and education for pregnant women who are considering an adoption plan. Newborn baby supplies are available to those women who decide to parent. Legal adoption requirements and post-placement services are also provided. All services to birthparents are free of charge.
- Adoptive Couples:
Program orientation, adoption education classes, home studies, counseling, placement, and post-adoption support services.
- Transitional Foster Care:
Licensed short-term foster care available for newborns whose mothers are considering an adoption plan.
- Caregiver Adoptions:
Adoption homestudies, placement, post-placement, supervision and finalization services for families of children who are already in a foster care situation (County of San Diego referrals only).
Reading recommendations for pregnant women, pregnant women considering adoption, birthparents who have placed a child for adoption, and prospective adoptive parents.
