Rachel's Women's Center is pleased to announce that were selected for the County of San Diego Alcohol and Drug Services award for "outstanding achievements" in the alcohol and drug field.
We won in the valuing diversity category and our apprenticeship program which is a basic job training program for women in recovery.
Martha Ranson, Homeless Women's Services Department Director and Sandra Swalley, Program Director Rachel's Women's Center, attended the awards dinner in Sacramento on May 18th.

Rachel's Women's Center and its sister programs provide a continuum-of-care for homeless and very-low income women. Operating since 1980, Rachel's Programs have provided services and support for thousands of women. The programs include day and night shelter, transitional housing, low-income apartments, job readiness training and apprenticeships.
Mission
To provide a safe, supportive, sober environment and opportunities for women with few or no resources to gather, begin and continue self-help efforts.
