Rachel's Women's Center and its sister programs provide a continuum-of-care for homeless and very-low income women. Operating since 1980, Rachel's Programs have provided services and support for thousands of women. The programs include day and night shelter, transitional housing, low-income apartments, job readiness training and apprenticeships.

Mission
To provide women affordable, safe and comfortable housing, as an interim from transitional housing or recovery programs to one's own home.
Rachel's Apartments provide housing that is truly affordable to women who are entering or reentering the job market.
The nine studio apartments share a common community room. This space is comfortably furnished and the monthly Resident Council meeting is held there. The community room is the heart of tenant's common living experience.

The tenants of Rachel's Apartments comprise the Residents Council. The Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month.

At the May Council meeting one of the members shared her love of flowers and her skills for making beautiful arrangements. She began arranging flowers when she was in high school and has a dream of one day owning her own flower shop.
